#Eminem responds after a post goes viral claiming there’s no word in English that rhymes with Silver

Eminem has once again flexed his lyrical dexterity by crushing a seemingly impossible rhyme challenge. This time around, he took a crack at a claim from the UberFacts Twitter account that “there’s no word in English that rhymes with ‘silver.’”

The Detroit rapper stepped up to the task in response to a tweet from LL Cool J’s Rock the Bells account, giving him a 24-hour deadline. Em fired back with a slew of rhymes built around the word “silver,” throwing in references to comedian Bill Burr, NFL quarterback Trent Dilfer, movie producer Steven Spielberg, and a cheeky call-out to his new fan-focused documentary Stans, which is currently in theaters and starts streaming via Paramount+ on August 26th.

“Silver pilfer kill fer Gilbert’s still hurts steel shirts Bill Burr milf word off kilter no filter chill brrrr feel burn still slur will stir Trent dilfer Val kilmer Still third shield her he’ll squirt Steven Spielberg Lil twerp Wilshire She’ll purr Kill birds milk curd feel worth Real nerd Stans documentary I liked your film sir,” Eminem shared on Twitter. Eminem’s Stans were quick to respond to the verse, heaping praise on the rapper for crushing the rhyme challenge. “Rap God ain’t just a song title. There will never be another quite like Eminem!” posted one follower. “And that’s why he’s the GOAT,” shared another.

This isn’t the first time that Em has taken on a word that’s allegedly impossible to rhyme against. During a 2010 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper, he proved that, despite popular belief, there are plenty of words and phrases that rhyme with the word “orange.”

Eminem, who recently became a grandfather, hopped on a new track by JID last month, “Animals (Pt. I),” taken from JID’s surprise GDLU (Preluxe) EP.
