Kristen Bell just shared exciting news for Frozen fans — Frozen 3 is officially moving forward! She revealed that the cast will begin production “soon” and that she’s already seen the script, though she’s keeping details under wraps. While new songs haven’t been revealed yet, Bell explained how the movie goes through a long creative process to make sure every detail connects with audiences. Set for release in 2027, the third installment will bring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, and the magical world of Arendelle back to the big screen after nearly a decade since the last film.
The studio has also continued releasing new movies directly to Disney+, including Pixar features. What the future holds now that Disney is steadily releasing several of the films from its acquisition of 20th Century Fox remains to be seen. Suffice it to say that movies released by Disney no longer adhere to such a close definition as they once did, given all the studios that operate under the entertainment giant’s purview. But the upcoming release slate certainly includes a number of films that fit into that category. Here’s a rundown of all upcoming Disney movies until 2029.
Snow White – March 21, 2025
Directed By Marc Webb

3.6/10
5/10
Continuing the trend among upcoming Disney movies of reworking classic stories, another live-action remake coming from Disney is 2025’s controversial live-action Snow White, which is currently scheduled for March 21, 2025. Rachel Zegler is starring as Snow White, with Gal Gadot portraying the wicked magic Queen. The plot will presumably follow the animated classic more or less and include revamped versions of the same musical numbers. Marc Webb is directing, and Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson penned the live-action Snow White script.
Lilo & Stitch – May 23, 2025
Directed By Dean Fleischer Camp

8.2/10
The latest in the long line of live-action remakes from Disney arrives in May 2025 with Lilo & Stitch. Of course, Stitch himself will be CGI, as will the other aliens in the film but the humans and locations are all going to be real. Dean Fleischer Camp, who directed and co-wrote the critically acclaimed Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, will helm the anticipated remake. The cast includes Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Courtney B. Vance, Hannah Waddingham, Sydney Agudong, Zach Galifianakis, and more.
On top of that, Chris Saunders is returning to voice Stitch once again, while original cast members like Tia Carrere, Amy Hill, and Jason Lee are slated to make appearances. The D23 convention revealed the first look at the film and the reception was mostly positive to Stitch’s look, though not much else has been showcased so far.
