Boniface ignores Lookman for African Player of the Year award
Boniface is also among the favourites to win the most valued African Footballer of the Year Award should he contest alongside fellow Nigerian Ademola Lookman.
Although Boniface has already admitted he deserves the award, as reported earlier by Sportsbuddy.
In the previous campaign, he scored 21 goals and registered 10 assists in 34 games for Leverkusen and quickly rose to be among the most notable forwards on the Old Continent.
On the other hand, Lookman had a great season in AFCON 2023 and got Atalanta to the Coppa Italia final, therefore making the competition between the two Nigerian youngsters even hotter.
