This global icon brings his signature energy, humor, and heart to support U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes off the field.
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) announced today that entertainment legend, entrepreneur, and lifelong sports fan Snoop Dogg has joined Team U.S. as its first Honorary Coach – a volunteer role that honors and supports American athletes off the field.
In this new role, Coach Snoop will join the Support Team, which includes staff, coaches, medical professionals, managers, and partners who help athletes pursue their dreams and inspire the nation. Known for his passion for community, mentorship, and empowering youth, Snoop will bring his humor and genuine heart to help motivate the U.S. Team athletes on their way to the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.
“The U.S. Team athletes are the real stars – I’m just here to cheer them on, encourage them, and maybe offer some advice from the sidelines,” Coach Snoop said. “This team represents the best that sport can offer: talent, heart, and effort. If I can bring a little more love and motivation to that, that’s a win for me.”
Sarah Hirshland, CEO of USOPC, added: “From the moment Snoop met the USOPC athletes, there was an instant connection—mutual respect, genuine curiosity, and lots of laughter. His enthusiasm for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement is contagious, and we are thrilled to officially welcome him as a member of our Support Team.”
For decades, Coach Snoop has used sport to open doors and create opportunities. His Snoop Youth Soccer League has supported more than 15,000 young athletes, including young people with disabilities, helping them develop and succeed. His commitment reflects what is at the core of every USOPC staff member: together we inspire through a love of sport.

Coach Snoop is a perfect fit for Team U.S. because of his genuine commitment to supporting athletes beyond what fans see on the court. He has long championed the idea that preparing for greatness isn’t just about performance—it’s about mindset, guidance, and having the right support system. His new role will help shed light on the resources athletes need as they step into the global spotlight, facing pressure and uncertainty, and planning for life after retirement from top-level sports. Whether it’s motivating athletes before career-defining moments or supporting the transition to new chapters after competition ends, Snoop has always shown deep respect for an athlete’s entire journey.
Coach Snoop is immediately embarking on some important work. First, he’s using his voice to raise awareness of the Team USA Fund, which provides direct resources to help athletes reach their full potential. 100% of donations to the Fund go directly to athletes and programs that help realize their dreams – from mental health and education to training, competition, and career transition support. As the fundraising arm of the USOPC, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Fund (USOPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Team USA.
He’s also collaborating with Fanatics on the Coach Snoop × Team USA collection – featuring merchandise from the king of style. A portion of the proceeds from sales on Fanatics will support Team USA. The collection will launch this December.
Coach Snoop’s role with Team USA complements his previously announced work with NBCUniversal in Italy.
