John Legend revealed his father-in-law Ron Teigen Sr. is in the hospital, and he and wife Chrissy Teigen are now taking care of his pet parrot Audrey in their increasingly crowded $17.5M six-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion.

‘[Ron] has been not doing well. And while he’s in the hospital, we’ve been taking care of the bird,’ the 45-year-old EGOT champ told TMZ on Thursday.

‘Audrey is doing fine. She’s loud sometimes, but she’s a welcome addition to the house. We’re a very pet-centric family. We’ve got four dogs, a bearded dragon, we love the pets.’

The 38-year-old Cravings founder previously Instastoried a video of the red-shouldered macaw who was born January 15, 2022 and the species lives an average 50 years.

‘This bird is going to live a long time and – not to predict my father-in-law’s passing – but it will probably outlive my father-in-law,’ John said.

Chrissy doesn’t post much about the 71-year-old electrician, who got her famous face tattooed on his arm by artist Mark Mahoney in honor of her 33rd birthday in 2018.

In 2022, Teigen shared a throwback snap of Ron – who lives just 10 minutes away from them – decked out in Army gear.

In 2019, the silver-haired grandfather filed for divorce from Vilailuck ‘Pepper Thai’ Teigen, who has since moved back to her native Thailand.

The Chrissy & Dave Eat Out co-host and Legend (born Stephens) enlist four nannies to help raise their four children – daughter Luna, 7; son Miles, 5; daughter Esti, 14 months; and son Wren, 9 months.

Chrissy and The Voice coach aborted their son Jack, at 20 weeks gestation, in 2020 when their doctor informed them that she and the baby would not survive otherwise.

The married couple of a decade originally met in 2006 while shooting his Stereo music video.

John currently coaches the 25th season of The Voice, which airs Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC.

Legend is next scheduled to perform a ‘night of songs and stories’ with the Wolf Trap Orchestra on June 4, 5, and 6 in Vienna, VA.

Chrissy will officially open her first-ever Cravings pop-up bakery at Shopify LA at ROW DTLA from May 18-21 between 11am-5pm.

Teigen’s lifestyle brand originated with her 2016 cookbook Cravings.
