Chrissy Teigen put on a show-stopping display on Sunday night, as she enjoyed a date night with her husband John Legend at the 2026 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

The model, 40, commanded attention as she hit the red carpet in a strapless ombre gown, embroidered with glittering sequins in an intricate pattern.

Her dazzling number boasted a dramatic train and racy thigh-high slit, showcasing her long legs and tiny waist.

Adding even more sparkle with dangly diamond earrings, Chrissy completed her striking look with coordinating burgundy heels and matching clutch.

She flashed a radiant smile as she cosied up to musician husband John, 47, who looked as dashing as ever in a fitted tuxedo and classic black tie.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2013 and share four children together, put on a smitten display at the awards ceremony, holding hands as they took their seats.

It comes after Chrissy celebrated reaching 52 days of sobriety last week, after she slipped back into a pattern of regular drinking last year.

The TV personality first took a break from booze in December 2020, and then marked making it to a year without a drink in 2022.

When she first went sober, Chrissy said she’d decided to give up booze because her drinking had become ’embarrassing’ and that she felt ‘really frustrated looking back on days I should remember way better than I do because of alcohol.’

She reflected on ‘huge moments’ that she’d missed including work shoots and family beach days, adding: ‘Wish I remembered really any awards show lol.’

But in May last year, she revealed she’d let alcohol creep back into her life, which then evolved into her indulging in wine at 11am.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Chrissy revealed that she had successfully made it to 52 days without alcohol, crediting Summer House star Carl Radke – who shared his own sobriety story on her Self-Conscious podcast – with changing her life.

In the candid post, she explained how she’d begun drinking again last year after ‘promising myself it would be a ‘mindful’ way’.

‘I wanted to be able to have a glass of wine on a date night with my husband. To be able to toast on birthdays. How lucky I am to have the life I have – I want to enjoy it!’ she recalled.

‘And I think that was my first problem. Tying drinking to reward or like some sort of life prize. Soon it became the kind of drinking I’m all too familiar with.’

She added: ‘Quiet moments at home were for wine. The time went from 6pm, to 5, to 4, to aw hell, it’s lunch, why not. When it got to 11am, I was like, oh f***, here we go again.

‘And I know. I’m a whole a** mom. We aren’t talking the kind of drinking where you slur your words and miss a step on the stairs. It was just quiet and consistent. And god, I felt like s***.

‘I missed being able to pick up my keys for a last-minute grocery run. But it wasn’t messy enough yet to stop.’

She explained the turning moment came after speaking to Carl about his own sobriety journey, at the same time that she was in talks for a new job on Star Search – which she became determined not to mess up.

And while she is conscious that she relapsed previously, Chrissy – who is mum to Luna, nine, Miles, seven, Esti, three, and Wren, two, with John – noted that her sobriety feels different this time around.

She penned: ‘I think the biggest difference between now and the first time is that there’s no pomp around it. The first time I put my foot down, it was EXCITING. The momentum was fun and kept me going on the right track.

‘The second time… I dunno. I dunno if everyone around you kind of loses faith or if you do yourself, or a mix of both. Or maybe no one wants to get too excited. Like an old boyfriend you talked so much s*** about to your friends, then you get back together with them and everyone just stops caring because who knowwwwws what’s gonna happen next. [sic]’

But, she insisted she had no desire to return to drinking, adding: ‘Turns out, without it, I can still be funny. Still be stupid. Still be wildly nervous. Anxious as a mother f*****. And I can get through it all without it.’

John was one of the first to rush to the comments to show his support for Chrissy, leaving a string of red heart emojis.

Revealing her relapse last spring, Chrissy explained why she started drinking again after two years of sobriety, saying: ‘There was no big dramatic moment.

‘It hasn’t really been an issue in the way that it was before but I know deep down it still feels wrong and if I were to listen to my inner voice, I would stop again and that’s where it all gets very complicated.’

The mother-of-four said while she had been super motivated by getting sober initially, finding the ‘big change fun and exciting’, the thrill eventually wore off.

‘I just remember looking at my therapist one day and being like, “I have such a wonderful blessed life, and it kills me that I can’t have an Aperol Spritz or something if we’re in Italy”,’ she said. ‘It was so exciting and so cool to me and now I’m like, “I messed up”.’

Chrissy admitted she was still unsure of her path, but that she still wanted to get sober despite ‘messing up’, explaining how she was planning to start by being ‘mindful’ about her alcohol consumption.

‘I one hundred percent know I like me better sober,’ she declared. ‘I one hundred percent know I get more done, I absolutely feel better in my body without it.’

‘And I am one hundred percent pissed that I can’t be normal and have a cocktail with my husband on vacay without it turning into 8 and feeling like s***.

‘I’m tired of throwing up on a Tuesday. I don’t wanna feel like I need a shot to talk to a crowd. I hate that the thought of maybe having a drink can consume me some days.’

She went on: ‘I can go to a concert sober and have the greatest time ever. I can avoid absinthe at the Ren Faire and be so abbbbsolutely full of joy. Photos of my kid’s birthday parties are no longer me with bleary, sleepy drinking eyes. And I am proud of that.

‘But I still know my relationship with alcohol just isn’t normal and never will be.’

Chrissy concluded by thanking her fans for ‘allowing me to to figure it out openly in front of you all’, penning: ‘This is for all the people who are figuring it out. And to the sober community, god I am still so, so proud of you. Until we meet again.’
