Chrissy Teigen is once again facing criticism online after she admitted to regularly waking her husband, John Legend, up in the middle of the night with a strange demand: making her sandwiches.

The 39-year-old model and cookbook author admitted to her off late-night eating habits during a recent appearance on Dinner Time Live. She admitted she often wakes at 1 a.m. feeling ravenous, and either orders food to the couple’s home or asks her husband to make her something.

Teigen said, “I take my night time medications at 10 p.m., and then I wake up again at 1 a.m., I place my order, it gets to me by 2 a.m., I eat it by 2:15 a.m., and then I go back to bed. [This happens] every night without fail. I’m not kidding.” The passionate women’s rights activist added that some nights she asks Legend to make a ham and cheese sandwich.

She said, “He’ll fully go downstairs at the time. He doesn’t care. I can nudge him and be like, ‘Babe, I want a sandwich,’ and he’ll be like, ‘OK.’ He’s so robotic, you know John. He’s like, ‘Alright sandwich time,’ then he comes back and [goes immediately back to bed].”

A clip of Teigen’s comments was shared on TikTok by Dinner Time Live and quickly went viral, prompting thousands to slam the celebrity. One critic commented, “She is awful,” and another added, “Insufferable.”

Others questioned why Teigen would openly admit to the late-night routine that drags her husband from his bed. One user said, “Why did she tell this story with pride?”

Another slammed, “How mean to wake your husband up just to get you food. I would have to really really need something to wake my husband up.”

The online criticism comes days after Teigen was teased for forgetting her children’s birthdays during an appearance on With Love, Meghan, Meghan Markle’s Netflix show. She admitted to Markle that she had the dates tattooed on her arm to help her remember.

Teigen revealed, “Look, I had to get a tattoo of their birthdays, ’cause I don’t remember.” She then struggled to read one of the numbers before calling Legend into the room.

“Who is this? Myles is…” she said, before Legend confirmed their son Miles was born on May 16, 2018. The couple share four children – Luna, nine, Miles, seven, Esti, two, and Wren, also two.

Teigen was also slammed online for her forgetfulness. The clip went viral on TikTok, with user @nataliejeffries2 posting the moment from the show. “Tell me your children are just a prop without telling me they are,” the user wrote in purple text over the clip.

In the comments section, fans couldn’t believe the moment. “I have never seen a mother not know her kids birthday. Ever in my life,” one person wrote. Another agreed, “Who would freely admit this??”

A third penned, “Not memorizing the social security numbers I can excuse. Forgetting your kids birthdays is insane and really sad!!!” as a fourth added, “Wow. I remember the birthday of my kids closest friends. If it matters to you, you’ll remember.” Yet another joked, “Even Meghan was shook.”

During the episode, Markle and Teigen bonded over their time as “briefcase girls” on Deal or No Deal. Markle said, “I remember us all having to stand in line to get our lashes put in.” Teigen added how all the models had to deposit their eyelashes “in a Ziploc bag” after the shoot was over.
