It’s Week 9 of “Dancing with the Stars” in Season 34!
Show Day on November 11 was an unforgettable show because it was the 20th Birthday Party episode. Competing for the Mirrorball Trophy (and doing a fantastic job) is Dylan Efron and his professional dance partner, Daniella Karagach. But how did they do and how did the judges score them?

Dylan Efron’s Argentine Tango Scores
Efron and Karagach performed an Argentine Tango to “Ain’t No Sunshine” by Bill Withers. The judges for the evening were Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli, as well as special guest judge Tom Bergeron (fans were thrilled to see the beloved former DWTS return to the ballroom). Efron scored a 40 out of 40 from the judges, who were impressed by his moves! This is Efron’s first perfect score and the second of the evening, after Robert Irwin and Witney Carson’s incredible routine.
The performance was inspired by Milo Manheim and Witney Carson’s Freestyle from Season 27, the DWTS Instagram account reports.
Minutes after Efron’s performance, photos of him and Karagach were posted on the official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account. The post shows highlights from their performance, and the caption reads: “Dylan + Daniella = our sunshine on a cloudy day. Comment (fire emoji) if you loved their Argentine Tango for #DWTS20! #DWTS.”
Fans React to Dylan Efron’s Dance
Fans have flooded the comment section to share their thoughts, praising Efron for his skills and weighing in on whether the judges got it right. Of course, they did, and fans are thrilled with Efron’s scores. “That was INSANE,” a fan wrote. “The smileee after nailing that lift,” another person shared.
Other reactions include, “He slayed. That routine was SO HARD and incredibly choreographed.,” “Channeling his inner Milo was what he needed because that was honestly amazing,” and “OMG THAT WAS HIS BREAKTHROUGH.”
Before his performance, Efron gave fans a sneak peek into the process, sharing a fun video of himself dancing with former DWTS competitor and Season 20 winner Rumer Willis. The pair appear to be having a lot of fun in the clip, which Efron posted on Instagram on November 10. Fans also reacted to the post, praising the reality TV star for his incredible improvement throughout the competition.
“Im loving this soooo much!!!!!” Pasha Pashkov reacted. “Ok but I love this,” Karagach commented.
Other reactions include, “Dylan, you can actually move so well now. The improvement is unreal,” “This made me smile from ear to ear! Dylan, you’ve come a long way and it’s been incredible to witness,” and “Are you ready for your Theatrical release lol after dwts.”
