Man.United set to unveil Sesko on Saturday

British media confirmed that Man.United has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian star has also flown to Manchester in the hope of completing the transfer within the next 24 hours.

HLV Ruben Amorim thiết lập xong hàng tiền đạo hoàn toàn mới với Benjamin Sesko.Ruben Amorim has put together a completely new forward line with Benjamin Sesko.

According to Sky Sports News, the deal includes an initial fee of £66.3m (€76.5m) and £7.37m (€8.5m) in performance-related add-ons. ESPN reports that Leipzig consider the add-ons to be possible and the deal also includes a clause that would see them earn a percentage of the player’s transfer fee in the future. A friendly between the two clubs will also be played in the future.

Sesko is expected to fly to Manchester on Thursday evening ahead of a medical. Sources told ESPN that, despite Newcastle having made a number of offers for Sesko, the Slovenia international has made it clear he wants to move to Old Trafford. The 22-year-old, who scored 21 goals in 45 appearances for Leipzig in all competitions last year, has been training separately in recent days as talks over his future continue. As a result, he could be given his debut at Old Trafford but not in Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Fiorentina.

United’s signing of Sesko raises questions over Rasmus Hojlund’s future at Old Trafford, with the club reportedly listening to offers for the Danish striker. Leipzig are also said to be interested in Hojlund and have explored loan terms. However, there is no confirmation that Leipzig have offered Hojlund as part of any potential Sesko deal. Hojlund has started two of United’s four pre-season friendlies so far, scoring in the 4-1 win over Bournemouth.

Sesko is Ruben Amorim’s third signing, both of whom have been added to the attack, following Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The deal takes the Red Devils’ total spending in the transfer window to around £200m. However, Man.United are under no pressure to sell players cheaply to balance the books. The latest news from Sky Sports News is that the Old Trafford side have set a £50m price tag for Alejandro Garnacho this summer, with Chelsea keen on the Argentine winger.
