Bella Ramsey has been a gift to our television screens on HBO Max’s The Last of Us and has kept up that energy for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards. The 22-year-old actor appeared on the red carpet sporting a cropped haircut (a la ’90s, dreamboat mid-part) and a classic Prada black suit, wrapped in a huge pink bow.

Styled by Fabio Immediato, Ramsey, and the fuchsia satin fabric adorning the top half of their body, stole the show during the arrivals to the Hollywood ceremony, which is the first major event on the awards circuit for the year. The suit is singlebreasted with a notch lapel and slim cut trousers. Ramsey debuted their wavy, shortly-shorn haircut earlier this month at the 2026 Critic’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica, where they made headlines, clad once again in Prada.

While they haven’t made any public comments about the significance of this most recent chop, Ramsey has previously spoken to the importance and classically queer joy of cutting their hair. For their role in The Last of Us, the British actor’s hair went from waist length to their shoulders, which is probably easier to maintain while fighting nightmarish zombies in a post-apocalyptic fungal hellscape.

“I got it chopped off, and it felt so good. I do miss it sometimes, now, but, mostly I just feel so much more like myself,” they said in a 2023 video for HBO Max about the series’ production.

As if their presence alone isn’t a gift in itself, Ramsey is nominated for Best Actress in a Drama TV Series for their performance in The Last of Us. Rhea Seehorn, who plays lesbian protagonist Carol Sturka in Apple TV series Pluribus, is among the list of other nominees. Ramsey was previously nominated for the same trophy in 2024.
