The day Barça trained in front of their supporters at the new Camp Nou, Ronald Araújo approached a young boy who was holding a sign asking for Lamine Yamal’s jersey.

He took him into the locker room where Lamine was, they took a photo together, and the little boy received a jersey signed by his idol.

More than a club. 💙❤️

The Uruguayan defender noticed a young fan’s heartfelt sign during the session at the Spotify Camp Nou and personally escorted him to the locker room so he could meet and take a photo with the rising star from Rocafonda

When last Friday’s training session at the Spotify Camp Nou came to an end, FC Barcelona players stayed for quite some time to greet hundreds of fans asking for photos and autographs.

The players even threw several balls into the stands as a gesture of gratitude toward the more than 20,000 culés who had come out at midday on a Friday — marking the first time the newly renovated Blaugrana temple opened its doors to the public.

The club later shared a touching moment from the end of the session on social media.

Ronald Araújo was signing autographs near the benches when he came across a young boy wearing a Barça Foundation cap and holding a sign that read: “Lamine, I’ll trade you my chemo for your jersey.”

“Shall we go ask Lamine for the shirt?” Araújo asked the boy, who responded with a big smile.

The Uruguayan defender took his hand and led him down to the locker room area so he could meet the young star from Rocafonda.

Araújo then entered the dressing room and told Lamine to come out and take a photo with the fan.

It was one of the most emotional stories to emerge from Barcelona’s long-awaited return to the Spotify Camp Nou.
