Amy Winehouse‘s emotional parents Mitch and Janis were seen paying their respects to their late daughter on the 13th anniversary of her death on Tuesday.
Mitch, 73, who could be seen wiping away tears, wrapped a comforting arm around Janis as they stood beside Amy’s grave at Edgwarebury Cemetery in north London.
The former couple, who divorced in 1993, remain close following the heart breaking loss of Amy, who died of alcohol poisoning aged 27 after battling drug addiction.
They were joined by friends and family at the graveside, where they left flowers and messages addressed to their tragic daughter.
Mitch, who was wearing a gold kippah, opted for a smart pale blue shirt and a grey raincoat, which he wore with a pair of navy trousers.

Meanwhile, Janis, who was aided by a mobility walker, wore a floral top and black trousers as she honoured her daughter on the anniversary.
Amy, who is buried with her grandmother Cynthia Levy, is said to have been subject to nine interventions led by parents about her boozy lifestyle.
Mitch battled to get his beloved daughter to abandon the dangerous drug-fuelled life which was killing her, even as she enjoyed extraordinary success.
When his efforts ended in heart breaking failure with her death, Mitch and second wife Jane established, with Amy’s mother Janis, the Amy Winehouse Foundation in the hope of inspiring young people to spare themselves from a similar path.
It was revealed that the weight of Amy’s death was too much for Mitch’s relationship to bare, with the couple going their separate ways last year.
He told the Daily Mail in 2023: ‘I haven’t made a public announcement, explaining he has been reticent to do so because Jane, 59, remains a trustee of the foundation.
Insisting their separation was amicable, Mitch suggested the first strains on their relationship date back to when Amy was falling apart under the cosh of binges on alcohol and narcotics.
He would do what he could to help. ‘I would get a call at 3am and run out at 4am,’ Mitch said, adding that this inevitably took a toll on his marriage.
He felt compelled to reassure his wife that his nocturnal assignations really did involve his only daughter. ‘I said to her: ‘Listen! There are no other women!’
Jane and Mitch had begun their affair while he was married to Janis, a pharmacist, with whom he had Amy and her brother, Alex.

This latest appearance comes after Mitch locked horns with two of his late daughter’s friends, who he has accused of keeping £730,000 in profit from a sale of her belongings, including bras, underwear and makeup.
He said Naomi Perry and Catriona Gourlay kept the profits from the £3.3 million sale of her belongings that took place in the US in 2021.
Naomi and Catriona, who was rumoured to be Amy’s lover before her death, said they were ‘generously gifted’ the items by Amy with Mitch’s ‘full knowledge and cooperation.’
But the Amy Winehouse Estate said it ‘has questioned how these items came into their possession and has not had satisfactory answers’, adding it launched the High Court bid to ‘clarify the situation.’
Perry and Gourlay responded to 156 questions about the items sold in London‘s High Court, revealing what each item was worth.
The Sun reported that items sold include the dress she wore at her final performance before her death in 2011, which coroners determined was caused by alcohol.
Also sold at the auction were at least two bras worn by the Black to Black singer, as well as several makeup items she used.
Former cab driver Mitch said he wants the £730,000 taken by Perry and Gourlay should be paid to the foundation set up in the singer’s memory.

Perry and Gourlay said in an Instagram post that the legal costs have drained much of the money they made from the sale, and they said that the £730,000 figure is ‘significantly exaggerated.’
They said that Mitch agreed to Perry and Gourlay undertaking project that saw a book about Amy’s life, as well as a number of exhibitions, that garnered significant media attention.
They said: ‘Upon the project’s completion, [we] decided to part ways with some items from our collection.’
It was after this sale, they said, that Mitch launched a ‘legal campaign’ against the pair, which has had a ‘profound impact’ on them ‘personally, professionally and financially.’
