Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s music catalogue got a big streaming boost in the week after his anticipated docuseries was released on rival Sean “Diddy” Combs—whose music also rose in streams over the same period.

Jackson’s music earned 27.9 million streams in the United States for the week of Dec. 5 to Dec. 11, which is up 30% from the 21.3 million streams the previous week, according to data shared with Forbes by Luminate.
Combs’ music also rose in streams over the same period, according to Luminate, though his streaming numbers are much smaller than Jackson’s.
Combs’ music released under the name Diddy was streamed 1 million times in the week ending Dec. 11, a 50% jump from the previous week, while music released as P. Diddy was streamed 619,000 times, a 32% jump from the previous week, and music released as Puff Daddy was streamed 764,000 times, also a 32% increase.
On the most recent weekly U.S. artists chart on Spotify, which reflects streams from Dec. 5 to Dec. 11, Jackson was the biggest gainer, rising 54 spots from No. 199 to No. 145.
Jackson also rose on the weekly global artists chart, jumping 26 spots from No. 136 to No. 110.
Combs does not rank on either the U.S. or global artist charts, which feature the top 200 most-streamed artists.
The boosts to both Jackson and Combs’ music catalogues come after Jackson’s docuseries about Combs’ career and criminal convictions hit Netflix on Dec. 2, which became a streaming hit and topped Netflix’s series charts.
How Successful Has 50 Cent’s Diddy Documentary Been?
“Sean Combs: The Reckoning” made a big debut on Netflix, logging nearly 22 million total minutes viewed in its first six days of release. The docuseries was the most-watched show in the United States for the week of Dec. 1 to Dec. 7, and it was the second-most viewed show globally over that same period, only behind the new “Stranger Things” season.
