50 Cent has faced criticism following comments widely described as transphobic.

The American rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, shared a video on social media that has since been deleted. The clip involved fellow G-Unit artist and long-time rival Young Buck.

In the recording, Buck can be heard telling a blogger to “take that shit down.”

The audio was linked to an alleged explicit video involving Young Buck and a transgender woman named Glamour Purfek. Reports claimed the footage showed Buck performing a sexual act.

Buck has denied that the video is real and rejected claims it involved him. The controversy circulated widely across blogs and social media platforms.

In the recording shared by 50 Cent, Buck can be heard addressing the situation directly. “I have to go out and let people know this is not real,” he says. “I don’t know what happened, I just know it ain’t men, and I ain’t fucking gay!”.

The clip provided no further context about the conversation or its origin.

Social media backlash and previous controversies

50 Cent accompanied the video with a caption that drew immediate criticism. “If your in a relationship with a tr**ny your gay. that’s a boy, Boy!!!” he wrote.

“It’s cool Buck you gonna be big down at the gay bars Give me a call.” The post was later removed, but screenshots continued to circulate online.

Social media users were quick to respond to the caption. One commenter wrote: “Not surprised 50 Cent is transphobic on top of everything else.

Dude almost singlehandedly ruined ‘Power’ with his non acting ass.” Another said: “50 cent’s recent transphobia will contribute to more black trans women suffering because the hate he spewed will be internalised and received by millions of black men.”

The incident followed earlier controversies involving the rapper. Last year, 50 Cent reposted a photoshopped image showing him with rainbow-coloured teeth.

He tweeted: “Who did this. I want you ni**as on the internet dead. Fuck everybody laughing at this shit.”

He later shared a screenshot of a Gay Star News article about the backlash on Instagram. “So now they’re saying I’m homophobic and making death threats because I joked about being mad at a picture of me as 69,” he wrote. “what the fuck, I love gay people I get bitches to kiss each other all the time and I like it.”

He added: “Nah for real get the fuck outta here wit this. Get The Strap.”

In 2015, 50 Cent also blamed low television ratings for the series Empire on what he described as the show’s “gay stuff.”
