A source in a recent report has alleged that Nicole Kidman’s ex-husband, Tom Cruise, thinks of her and Keith Urban’s split as “karma.”

Cruise and Kidman married on December 24, 1990, and divorced on August 8, 2001. After their divorce, Kidman did not shy away from taking subtle digs at her ex-husband. Reportedly, Cruise now seems to believe Kidman’s actions after their divorce have come back around.

It appears Tom Cruise believes Nicole Kidman’s split from Keith Urban is “karma” for how she treated him after their divorce. As per International Business Times, a source recently claimed, “When Tom and Nicole split, he caught all the blame and she got all the sympathy. He was painted as the bad guy, and that stuck with him for years.”

Reportedly, the “Mission: Impossible” star disliked how Kidman took jabs at him after their divorce. Cruise allegedly felt hurt that the media painted him as the bad guy while she garnered sympathy from fans.

The source further explained, “Tom was really stung by the way Nicole handled their break-up. She went on TV, made digs about his height, and painted herself as the victim”. The source added that this happened “while he stayed silent and took the hits.”

According to a source, Cruise also disliked how the media portrayed Urban as Kidman’s savior after their divorce.

The source remarked, “It annoyed him when this guy was painted as this saintly figure who’d swooped in on a white horse, so to speak, and rescued Nicole from the hellish memory of their marriage.”

The “Top Gun: Maverick” star reportedly has mixed feelings about his ex-wife Kidman’s impending divorce from Urban. On one hand, he reportedly sees this as “karma,” while on the other hand, he recognises she must be hurt.

The anonymous insider shared, “He genuinely sympathises with Nicole because he knows how painful it is to have everyone dissect your private life.” Continuing further, the source said, “Now that things have flipped, he sees it as karma coming back around. He’s not bragging about it, but he definitely sees the irony.”

The source also alleged that Cruise believed Kidman and Urban were an incompatible match. Kidman and Urban separated on September 29, and the actress filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
