Poison drummer Rikki Rockett has hinted at major plans for the band’s 40th anniversary in 2026 — and subtly reminded frontman Bret Michaels that time may be running out for the original lineup to take the stage together again.
In a new intervew with Backstage Pass Radio, Rockett opened up about the band’s future and proposed a full-scale tour to mark four decades since Poison’s formation.
🛣️ “We Have a Tour on the Table”
When asked about what’s ahead for Poison, Rockett shared that a celebratory tour is already being discussed:
“We have a tour on the table, and hopefully, we can work it out and do it,” Rockett said. “Because we’re talking about 2026 and it’s our 40-year anniversary, like doing 40 shows all across the country and maybe Canada.”
The idea of 40 shows for 40 years is fitting for one of glam rock’s most enduring acts — especially considering all original members are still alive and musically active.
🌍 Rockett’s Wish: Take It Global
Rockett didn’t stop with just North America. He expressed hopes for a truly global anniversary tour — potentially even Poison’s last major outing with all four founding members.
“Hopefully we can go out to other places like Europe and Australia, man, that’d be great,” he continued. “So that’s my wish. That’s my hope.”
But it was his next words that caught the attention of fans and critics alike:
“We’re not getting any younger. The old band’s intact. We’re all original members. I don’t think there is any other original member bands left right now that I know of.”
⚠️ A Subtle Message to Bret Michaels?
While Rockett didn’t mention Bret Michaels by name, fans believe his comment was an indirect nudge toward the singer — who has been focused heavily on his solo touring career in recent years.
With Poison’s 40th anniversary approaching, Rockett’s message is clear: the time to reunite is now, before the chance slips away.
🥂 Four Decades of Poison: A Tour Worth Celebrating
Formed in the early ’80s, Poison became one of the biggest glam metal bands of their era — and they’ve done it without ever replacing a band member. That alone makes a 2026 tour not just nostalgic but historic.
Rockett’s comments serve as a heartfelt reminder that fans — and the band itself — deserve one more epic tour to celebrate their legacy.
🧩 Will Poison Hit the Road in 2026?
While nothing is confirmed just yet, Rockett’s enthusiasm — and gentle pressure — may be the push needed to make this tour happen.
And if it does, fans can expect a celebration of four decades of wild shows, chart-topping hits, and unforgettable moments.
